SpaceX Aborts Starship Launch After Multiple Engines Fail to Ignite

SpaceX has postponed the latest Starship test flight after the launch countdown reached zero but several engines on the Super Heavy booster failed to ignite. The automated safety system immediately aborted the launch, preventing liftoff.

What Caused the Launch Scrub?

During the engine ignition sequence, four of the booster’s 33 Raptor engines did not start as expected.

Because the rocket did not meet the required launch conditions, the onboard systems automatically stopped the countdown before liftoff. This is the first time a fully stacked Starship has reached engine ignition and then been scrubbed at the launch pad.
