Anthropic Upgrades Claude Voice Mode With More Powerful AI Models

Anthropic has announced a major update to Claude voice mode, giving users access to more advanced AI models for voice conversations.

The update allows users to choose between Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, making voice interactions more capable for both everyday use and professional tasks.

The new features are available in beta across supported platforms.

More Powerful Models for Voice Conversations

Previously, Claude’s voice mode relied on the Haiku model, which focused on delivering quick responses.

With the latest update, users can now use more advanced models for conversations that require deeper reasoning and better problem-solving.

By default, voice mode now uses the fastest version of the last AI model selected in a text conversation.

Voice Mode Can Work With Popular Apps

One of the biggest additions is support for connected productivity apps.

Claude voice mode can now interact with services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Canva, and Notion.

This allows users to perform tasks like scheduling meetings, drafting emails, managing calendars, or creating documents using voice commands.

Improved Productivity

Anthropic says the upgraded voice mode is designed for longer and more meaningful conversations.

Users can brainstorm ideas, prepare presentations, discuss projects, or receive communication feedback while working hands-free.

These updates make Claude a more capable assistant for everyday tasks.

Beta Availability and Language Support

The updated Claude voice mode is available in beta for all users.

Free users can access the Haiku model and connect one supported app, while paid users can use more advanced models and additional capabilities.

Claude also supports multiple languages, allowing users to have voice conversations in several supported languages.

Conclusion

The Claude voice mode update makes Anthropic’s AI assistant more useful for productivity by adding stronger AI models and integration with popular work apps.

As voice-based AI assistants continue to evolve, these new capabilities give users more ways to complete tasks through natural conversations.
