Spotify Expands Parent-Managed Accounts to Free Users

Spotify has expanded its Managed Accounts feature to users on its free plan, giving more families access to parental controls without requiring a Premium subscription. 

The update is rolling out in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, with more countries expected to follow.

Managed Accounts allow parents to create a separate Spotify profile for children under the eligible age. 

Since the account is independent, a child’s listening habits won’t affect the parent’s recommendations, playlists, or Spotify Wrapped.
